Robert Mello passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the age of 88. Beloved Husband of the late Joan Mello. Loving Father of Donna Oliver and Robert Mello. Dear Brother of Carol Slattery and the late Roy Etzel. Cherished Grandfather. Adored Uncle and Great-Uncle. Mr. Mello was a United States Army Veteran who served during the Korean Conflict and a retired MTA Supervisor. Memorial visitation held at Papavero Funeral Home on Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 2-6 PM. Funeral Service held on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 10 AM. Interment followed at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village, NY under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Avenue, Maspeth NY 11378.
