St. John’s Red Storm men’s basketball head coach Mike Anderson added two more to his staff this past week.

The school announced Will Bartlett will be the team’s director of Player Development, while Chris Huey was named director of Basketball Operations.

“Will is a tireless worker who has been a valuable member of my staff for many years, so we are excited for him to be part of this next chapter at St. John’s,” said Anderson of Bartlett in a statement.

Bartlett worked with Anderson during both his stops at the University of Missouri and the University of Arkansas.

“Will has a natural ability to connect with players and serve as a mentor,” Anderson added. “His diligence and organizational skills will be vital in contributing to an environment where our team can be successful.”

“I am thrilled to join the St. John’s family and have this opportunity to continue working with Coach Anderson,” Bartlett said. “St. John’s has such a rich basketball tradition and it is an iconic Big East program, so it is a dream come true to help shape the future of this program.”

Huey was the team’s director of Basketball Operations prior to last season after being a graduate assistant for two years. Anderson said his established ties to the program are a leading factor into why Huey remains on board.

“Chris is committed to the St. John’s basketball program and has firsthand knowledge about what it takes for our team to be successful,” said Anderson. “He has a tremendous work ethic and an unmatched knowledge of our institution.”

“Coach Anderson has great energy that people in New York will love and enjoy,” said Huey. “I am excited about the direction our program is headed and look forward to being part of it.”
