Dear Editor,

It is now three years since deranged gunman Adam Lanza invaded Sandy Hook Elementary School, shooting and killing 26 innocent children and adults. This horrendous tragedy sparked an enraged outcry from the American people and politicians that something radical needed to be done with regard to passing more stringent gun control legislation.

Well, three years later this nation is no closer to stricter gun control laws than before. The NRA has made every effort to block any legislation that Congress has tried to enact.

The NRA should and must support the efforts of Congress to pass legislation banning people from purchasing assault weapons in our country. Look at what just occurred in San Bernadino, with 28 people shot and 14 killed.

Our country is being turned into an armed camp, and this is truly a scary scenario.
