Dear Editor:

What kind of political grandstanding is Mayor Bloomberg pulling now?

He is stating that he will not reveal which firehouses will be closed due to the city's budget crisis. Certainly, those communities that are going to be seriously impacted by these closings have a right  to be notified.

To begin with, there should not be any closings of any firehouses. This is totally unacceptable to the people of New York City and their elected officials!

We all need to communicate our complete displeasure regarding this issue to Mayor Bloomberg. There should not be any cuts to fire, police, or teachers- the mayor needs to stop his political posturing. What happened to the two billion dollar surplus that we've been hearing about ? Did it suddenly blow away to Oz like Dorothy's house?
