Kaitlyn Mahon of the Queens College women’s basketball team was named to the All-East Coast Conference (ECC) Third Team.

The senior guard was one of the points of consistency for the Knights over the past season, as evidenced by her top-five standing in the country in minutes played per game (37.1).

Mahon had seven games with ten or more points, opening her season with a 16-point mark in a victory over Chestnut Hill. She would later go on to score a career-high 21 points against NYIT, while later notching her first two career double-doubles in wins over Roberts Wesleyan and Mercy.

In the 84-78 double-overtime win against the Redhawks, Mahon played all 50 minutes on her way to an 18-point, 10-assist game in which she also contributed three steals, a block and a rebound.

Mahon would get another double-double in a 92-76 victory over Mercy. She scored 12 points and had 10 assists.

Mahon capped her illustrious career as one of the best distributors of the basketball in Queens College history, with 291 career assists. That mark leaves her in sole possession of sixth place in the record book. Mahon also finished with 498 total points and 238 rebounds for her career.
