After not getting a phone call for the nth time, I wondered if there was something wrong with my resume. Did I put all the necessary information? Did I include all the work skills that employers would take notice of? Was there any typographical and grammatical mistakes?

I was close to the point of being frustrated that I was tempted to look for resume writers. But is there really one out there?

I asked Mrs. Mulberry, our workaholic neighbor. She thought it would be foolish to look for a professional specializing in resumes. She didn't believe, though, that there was ever a profession like that.

Miss Hutton, my college English professor, thought it comes down to presentation and marketing. If she were the employer, she wouldn’t look at my resume longer because it didn’t catch her attention. As for resume writers, she just gave me a meaningful smile.

I thought Miss Hutton was mean to me, but I comprehended what she said after finding some custom resumes in the Internet. She was right. I don’t need resume writers if I know my strengths.

With that in mind, I edited my resume.
