According to McCoullough, the TV star’s attack left him with three breaks in his nose, and after turning medical records over to the police, Sutherland turned himself over to the police on Thursday morning.
The actor was charged with misdemeanor assault at the 1st Precinct in lower Manhattan, and is due back in court for arraignment on June 9. Sutherland is currently on probation in Los Angeles for a DUI. If convicted of the assault charges, Sutherland faces $1000 in fines and one year in proson. The LA district attorney will decide if this incident is a violation of his probation. (Jeffrey Harmatz)
